I’ve been passionate about genealogy for over 20 years, and I graduated in June 2022 from the University of Le Mans with a degree in “History and Family Genealogy<\/em>“, with first-class honors. The combination of these two experiences has enabled me to acquire the methods, rigor and perseverance needed to work as a professional genealogist. I enjoy undertaking research and solving puzzles.
I’m a member of the SYGENE<\/a> chamber of professional genealogists, L’alliance des g\u00e9n\u00e9alogistes professionnels<\/em> (formerly Chambre syndicale des g\u00e9n\u00e9alogistes et h\u00e9raldistes de France, CSGHF). I apply the rules of professional ethics and confidentiality laid down by my chamber.
Based in Strasbourg, I can easily travel to communes in the region to consult deeds in town halls or clues in cemeteries. What’s more, I speak Alsatian and am fluent in the various deeds (civil status, notarial, registration, land registry, etc.) drawn up in dialect and German during the periods of annexation (1871-1918) and occupation during the Second World War. <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

On October 27, 2023, the awards for the Prix Michel FLOUCAUD de LA P\u00c9NARDILLE 2023, presented by the association “La France G\u00e9n\u00e9alogique – CEGF”, were handed out. I was honored to receive 2nd prize for my monograph “Une lign\u00e9e de Geyer, modestes figures de l’histoire alsacienne de 1700 \u00e0 1965” (A line of Geyers, modest figures in Alsatian history from 1700 to 1965<\/em>). <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
