An ancestor is more than just the dates and places of the major events in his or her life (birth, marriage, death, etc.). It’s also a story sprinkled with happy moments (the purchase of a house, the birth or marriage of a child, etc.) as well as great and small trials (war, heatwave, illness, etc.) and even exciting adventures such as emigration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A family also has a history, not only of the people who make it up, but also of the places they live, the professions they practice, the communities they frequent\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A personal history, called a biography, and a family history, also called a monograph, can be written to bring your ancestors to life and make them more realistic. You and your family can share this story, which can be illustrated with photos, old and new maps, extracts from deeds or any other documents you discover or possess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
